well there's two ways to do this, the best and cheapest way to do this is to have the h22 engine and get a 90-97 accord short block from junkyard or wrecking yard for about 100.00 dls. take out the crank and rods and slap them on in the h22 block use your jdm pistons or usdm this would be a 2.3 vtec, since the accord's 90-97 crank and rods are the the same as the h23's. now if you have a h23 motor and want to get the h22 head parts needed would the about 300.00 dls not including head. so it would be cheaper to get long block h22 or one that has a bad block say a cracked block. both h22 and h23 block are identical internally and externally. a good thing to do is to get the crank micropolished and get the correct bearing colors for the rods and crank journals. if you're going to use Type S pistons have your machine shop chamfer the top of the rod to get oil to the piston pin since it would become a floating pin.

Well, my problem is that i already had the h23a because it came stock in my car.. i was planning to swap a h22a and bought it but did not realize that it was a motor from an Sh so i cant slap it in due to the ATTS.... so now im just going to swap the head.... now i have new Q's for this ....
I have h22a4 head, with a h23a block...

Is there any drilling needed for the head swap??
What do i do about the oil jet on the h23??
which timing belt do i use for this?? h22 or h23
which oil pump will be better to use?? h22 or h23??
thanks
