im starting to put my block together.. (most people saw it.. its titles "my block is hot") and wanted to know which parts should i ditch and get aftermarket and which parts i shouldnt.. its an LS bottom end (my head is ITR, so thats related).. i put the stock mounts (p/s, AC, couple others) and also the oil pump and water pump. i want to get an aftermarket pulley for the crank, and should i also go ahead and get GSR/ITR oil pump and water pump if they fit my car.. or is OEM good.. BTW, these parts came off the engine when i stripped it down to get built..

the parts you mentioned sounds fine for your application. just make sure a good engine builder puts it together, which most likely would lead to problems.

will the whole water pump assembly work on the LS block.. the pump, connecting tube, and thermostate housing anc cover.. or is the tube and the thermostate assembly not neccesary..
