Default gsr cams for gsr headers

i just bought a da integra w/b20 motor. the exhaust manifold bolt where it meets the down pipe is broke or missing. it was night time couldnt tell, i asked a friend for a pair of headers & he said hell trade his gsr headers for my gsr cams. should i do it or is it not worth it , by the way i dont plan on using the cams, but i dont know if the headers will fit the b20 head which is the same as b18.

First off your not going to get "a pair of headers" for your B20 as you have an I4. That means you will be needing a header. Second a B series header will fit a B series motor. Now from chassis to chassis and exhaust to exhaust some are longer than others. But you can definitely make it work with very minimal effort.

If you don't plan on using the cams, and are in need of a header then I would say it's a good trade.

THANKS FOR THE CORRECTION, WOULD YOU HAPPEN TO BE ABLE TO TELL THE VISUAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GSR & B16 HEADER ?

A Gs-r header will almost always have a bracket on the bottom pipe to attach it to the chassis. where most b16 headers do not. I use headers here to describe more than 1 set of header.

the GSR's block is taller than a B16. So the GSR's header is slightly taller as well. IIRC, the B20 has the same height demensions as a GSR block, so the header from a GSR should fit. Use common sense: See if the header fits before you take it. It probably didn't need to be a question on a website.

I agree with the first part... but not the second. Not all headers from one B series motor will fit another. For example... a header from a B16 will not fit on an LS. It won't clear the oil pan.

Load of crap.

All of the headers from b-series are almost identical. Allt he headers have the same exhaust hanger that you are referring to

b16 header is shorter in height compared to B18 headers. Older b18 headers do not have an o2 bung. I am not sure about the B16 though.

Another thing you need to consider is that the flange that connects to the catalytic converter is at different angles.

But DA B18 header goes from 4-1. and the o2 bung is right before it goes into the 1, which is next to the dip stick.

</TD></TR></TABLE>NO you are wrong. I have 3 headers in my garage, 1 gsr has a bracket, 1 jdm gsr does not have a bracket and 1 JDM b16 does not have a bracket. they are 3 different brands for 3 different b series motors.
Don't post it if you don't know it.

ive heard that before but i went ahead and tried it because i had some b16,gsr and ls headers laying around. integra headers have different angle flange so it wouldnt bolt to my cat. so i used the b16 headers to fit on my ls motor. im running a 96 ls motor with Si headers, cat, piping and muffler on my 96 civic coupe and its perfectly fine.

I want to see pictures of the ones that do not have the bracket. It would be very stupid for honda to make so many variations of the same header. I think either the bracket was A) rusted off, B) was grinded off.

Cheers

I never said anything about being made by Honda.
I said 3 different brands. Comptech, Trust aka Greddy and Tanabe.

Why would you use the manufacturing specs of aftermarket headers to compare to OE? Nobody asked "hey what do Trust and Comptech headers look like?" Jesus this has turned into a stupid argument.

no one ever said these were an OEM header. he said GSR headers, i can safely assume they were some junk EBAY ones anyways.
This wasn't a stupid argument until you showed up.
