Recently I started smelling this odd smell when my car got warmed up, if I keep my windows rolled up I don't smell it. I don't seem to smell it under the hood, however I do smell it when I turn the car off and first get out near the tail pipe.

It doesn't smell electrical, like a clutch, rotten eggs or like burining oil. It's a very odd odor, and my nostrils are very irrtated by it. I think it might be an exhaust leak, but even if it is I know my exhaust never had this odor till recently, I just got an oil change and the smell remains as well.

Also I should mention it's when I step on the gas I notice it the most and I haven't run with an O2 sensor in the car for quite some time now.

I am worried it's running lean and thats why it smells "hot" like, if it is running lean, how do I make it run more rich?

pull the codes and get rid of the CEL, starting with the O2 sensor first since you know that's a problem. Your car isn't going to run proper until it has that fixed.
