Would running a spare tire on the front of a civic (no limited slip) [freak] up the dif?... wouldn't the spare tire would be spinning faster than the normal size tire?

Don't do it unless it's a really short trip to get it fixed. It can be done, as a girl I know did, but it's a horrible idea. The handling and braking will be screwed up, the diff will work extra hard, and logically the transmission fluid will break down faster. Put a good rear tire on the front, or change your trans fluid. If nothing else, it's probably due for it anyway.

you can run a spare in the front, but they are only made to get you home or to a shop. Your car will pull in a certain direction more and your turning will be dirrerent. From what i have heard, you are not suppose to go faster than around 60mph
