ive seen it and read it so i know its here , looking for the thread on putting DOHC ZC head on SOHC block , i even think they did some kinda crazy frankinstien build with it ,IDK, and before everyone jumps " i already know its not reliable build" so anyone have the link ?, i did search! might not have the right key words kept finding something bout a crank pulley???
also , just for quick reff need the hp and torqe spec D16 Z6 VS SOHC ZC thanks guys , winter is almost here time to start some projects!!!

yeah it does , same as early integra D16a1 "might be off on that engine code thought" but pretty sure its d16a1

i dont think it would work why would you want to anyway the sohc zc makes just as much power and weights less...

 

I does work and has been done , there was a tread bout it on H-T i think it was last year when i found it , i have multiples of both motors, so i figure y not try it , if it explodes my loss.. if not fine, i just wanna try it
and now that i think of it it might have been a Z6 block they used ????
and not that its any signifficant diff, but the Dohc makes like 9 hp more so i read
but i just thought it would be a cool winter project , and a way to get rid of a few spare motors , i think the guy that did it used integra pistons ,rods from someother motor, and was planning on boosting it , it was a perrty good write up , pics and **** , i know the thread is on here, someone had to have read it besides me

 

i asked this question about a year or so ago and had many people respond with answers who are smarter than i and told me how and why this is not possible. something about the water jackets don't line up at all and the head bolt holes are spaced differently.

 

yeah the write up had something\ bout a the head bolt hole having to be welded up and redrilled , as for the water jacket , i dont remember? it might ot be cost effective but it was done , just got to find the damn thread
