Sorry but they don't have hid headlights... only the non-hid ones...

I never realized how hard it is to find them new. This "ShowStoppersUSA" place has them, no idea how reputable they are though.

if you want to fix your broken tab its really easy.
go to a autoparts store and grab an epoxy or plastic weld glue. its two tubes that have a single nozzle tip all you do is clean your area where it broke from and then apply the glue or both sides of the broken ends and join together and hold it for about 2 mins and its done and it wont come off ever (its super strong)

I'm sure he appreciates your compassion.
His headlights come in busted, and you're acting like he is crying over spilled milk.

its a piece of plastic that wont ever been seen by any eyes..and to be honest.. its the quickest, easiest and probably the next best thing to buying new headlights.

Since it is such an easy and small task, why don't you buy him another set of HID headlights? Its really the next to best thing...

The fact is that he paid good money to get them shipped correctly to his home. The shipping company did not do their part by making sure it gets there as they received it and they still made him pay anyways.
If this were me I would make sure I would get some sort of compensation from the shipping company.

If UPS is going to pay for it... get brand new ones.
If I bought something brand new, don't care if it was milk or JDM HID headlights... new is new is NEW. Not half assed, JB welded and ****. Come on now...
That's like saying the same with Mugen or the likes rims... would you just put a bandaid on it and call it a day?

I've said this a hunnert times...
if you ship via UPS, wrap everything in bubble wrap, tape all individual bubble wrapped pieces together, place in a NEW large box, fill with styro-peanuts.
Double tape ALL external seams on box, centers and edges of the flaps.
Insure the **** outta it.
UPS hires go-rillas and they bowl with your parcel.
