High dome pistons???... Advantages & Disadvantages... For engine builder gurus
I created this thread to identify the pros & cons of high dome pistons.... So, if your and engine builder that can highlight the advantages and disadvantages, please dont hesitate....
I am presently doing research on high compression pistons... Now, i want to get a set of 81 mm pistons for my B16B with an 1800 bottem end (LS Rods n Crank)... The set that im interested in has a dome volume of 9 cc with n compression height of 30 mm.... This brings my compression with this set up to exactly 12:0-1.... Do you think im better off with a lower dome volume piston with a higher compression height???.... Keeping in mind that i prefer compression between 12:0 to 12:3... What are you guys take on this??? Do you think its going to effect flame travel or anything else?? Help me out, PLEASE

Rocket (master of the universe) had a thread on here a month or two ago about some pistons he was designing, and there was a discussion about this in side the thread. I will try to find it for you
