I have already looked how to adjust the valves on my ls but I havent done it before and i wanted to know what is the worst thing that could go wrong? I just dont want to mess up any valves.

The worst thing you can do, is adjust incorrectly and suffer from valvetrain wear / breakage.

But really, it isn't hard to do, just time consuming.

If you haven't done it before I would recommend that someone that has walk you through it. If the valves aren't adjusted right it can cause a lot of major problems. At the very least your car will not run right. At least that is how I learned how to do it. This is also my personal opinion. If you feel that you know enough to jump into it go for it double check your work and make sure you valves are tight so they don't come loose.

HELM's manual is your friend. You need one.

OP, keep the valve adjust tools in your car on your first drive after. The first time I did one on my gsr I didn't tighten one of the screws back up and took off down the road, about a mile later I could hear a pretty good tick. I pulled over and yanked the valve cover and tightened everything back up. I re-adjusted everything again in the morning on a cold motor.
Good luck

it's hard to go wrong, if you take time and double check.

good luck
