Well my 95 lx has 90k on it and its time for a timing belt. What along with the belt should I be changing as well ?

 

timing belt
balancer shaft belt
timing belt tensioner (if needed)
balancer shaft belt tensioner (if needed)
water pump
cam seal
front balance shaft seal
crankshaft seal
valve cover gasket

I'm guessing you haven't read through the write-up on this thats linked in the FAQ because this is all covered in that thread. Plus if you search this has been asked before.

How do I know if they should be replaced ?

 

unfortunately you wont know until you take it apart, I just usually replace them anyway to be safe. But if you want to wait until you have it apart just spin the tensioner by hand and feel/listen to the bearing and determine if it needs to be replaced or not. Most that I've come across haven't required replacement but since I usually order everything ahead of time I just order those to make sure I wont have problems.

 

replace the seals, even the "oil pump" seal. They WILL NOT make it to the second belt change, without leaking oil.

Spin them up, if they sound like a box of rocks, replace them.
If they just sound 'dry' you can carefully pry off the seal, add in a little grease, pop the seal back on.

When you say tensioner you mean the adjuster, as its called correct ?
And for the front balance shaft seal do I need number 4 or 5 ?

And for the crankshaft seal, your refering to the front main seal correct ? Either number 25 or 26 it looks like depending on what brand oil pump ?

 

yes, by tensioner I am referring to the adjuster.

and yes, I am referring to the front main seal which would be #25 iirc.

 

what is 26 a seal for ?

 

I'm not sure but it doesn't sound correct, dimensionally, for the front main seal. I could be wrong as it's been a while...
