last night the cigarette lighter in my friends mitsi eclipsewas pressed and then when it popped up it caused his engine to die and not restart. the starter tries to get the engine going but it just won't turn over. i know its not a honda but i own a EG. it has gas too

is it a new car?or used with custom things done to it or what,ive heard of some people using the cigerette lighter as a starter kill,they disconnect the wiring on the back and rewire it to a relay,the relay then interupts the starter wire,it lighter acts as a jumper to start the car,plus you can take it out and carry it with you,i doubt this is the problem but you never know,lol.

**** i never thought about that...i was thinking of doing some sorta kill switch...but thats cool...and for the original question....maybe u just burnt a fuse and maybe in mitsu's that same fuse is connected to ur ignition? I DUNNO....
