Shift at 7.4k or redline?

Anyone know which will get the fastest time, Shifting at 7.4k rpms or redlining at 8.2k rpms? Only reason i ask is because max power is at 7.4 so im guessing its pointless to put more stress on your engine to get nowhere with it. Thanks

Redline, period. You're not driving a pushrod motor.

x2 - especially 1-2 shift.
