I don't think there is a thread on this topic yet as I could not find one.
Are the 99-00 Si front lips and the 99-00ek9 ctr front lips the same?
The Ctr lips look fatter and more aggressive but I am hearing different opinions. Some peeps are saying they are the same some say they're different. Its weird cuz when I see them around some Si and ctr lips look the same and sometimes the Si lips look smaller. BTW I am talking about the OEM versions.
I would like to get to the bottom of this. Input from everybody would be much appreciated
Thanks guys... oh and girls!!

They should be the same. Replicas are where the differences come in. And being able to put "JDM EK9 CTR Lip" on your vehicle spec sheet at a car show.

Oh I have an OEM Si lip on my hatch already. But before I bought an OEM Ek9 CTR lip I wanted to know if they are the same. For some reason the CTR lip looks fatter.
Anybody else???

i too still feel/think that the ek9 lip is a little bit more aggressive looking than the Si lip...
N1 concepts is selling a JDM CTR front bumper with a CTR lip and it looks more flared. Unless my eyes are messing with me...

Uggghhh, you have the correct answer above by more than one person. But I guess you need reassurance...

1999-2000 Civic Si lip = ANY 1999-2000 Civic OEM front lip. Same for the CTR. This lip was standard on the EM1 and EK9 and possibly a few other trims, but optional on all other trims.
You can buy these lips listed as either or both on many different sites, used or new. Try Craigslist, eBay, the Honda-Tech MarketPlace, and all the JDM parts sites you see listed anywhere on this site.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Those people are all right.

Remember, I'm not the only one who knows a little about OE parts here. Give others a chance. BlueIntegraBoy is one who I've noticed is spot on nearly all the time, if not all the time.

You can clearly tell the difference between replicas. The CTR replicas portrudes down more on each side giving it that sharp look on both sides. User LastGenEK has a good picture in the beginning of the thread.

the reason that lip looks flared is because its mounted lower than where its supposed to. i did the same to my (oem si) lip. you just use the lower screw at the ends of the lips and washers, nuts, etc. to space the other mounting hardware.
the lip ends up sitting about a half inch lower than stock and the ends flare out a bit because you're only using the bottom screw to secure the ends instead of the top one. that half inch makes a (big) subtle difference.
