Dead #4 cylinder help
VX engine, d15z1
Did a compression and it was 130-140-150-0
Did a leakdown and despite a leaking tool it was like 40%, but the number ist what's important.
Cyl 4 is at TDC of course so 1 and 3 are at BDC, I had Cyls 1 2 3 spark plugs installed when i did the leakdown, and I did another with cyl 3 plug out and air comes out of the plug hole. Same deal with cyl 1.
Could mean a headgasket right? But how could it come out of 1 and not 2?
Count be valve seats I also thought and since the TB is closed, air goes back into the cyls that have valves open (cyl 1 had more air coming out than did 3) so Ill have to check which valves were open and when.
I dont think it is rings because no air leaks out the dipstick hole.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know what they think.
thank you.
