k guys i have a 95 civic coupe with a D series Turbo!! i love the turbo sound but i am trying to keep it real quite............... sooo i have a custom exhaust system at the moment from the turbo it is 3 in then 2.5 all the way back to the new DNX muffler i got.... it is a straight pipe!!! sooo thats one reason it is loud too but please help... wat u guys think... should i put a resonator a cat again mabey...??? i dont care if it slows me down a little but i just want it quieter.... let me know wat u guys think and if anyone is selling a Cat or resoneter let me knwo thanks
i had the same problem as i have 2.5 inch piping and its a straight pipe (dont have turbo though car was just WAY TO LOUD). so what i did was buy an ES oval muffler, took it to the muffler shop, they put i think it was a 14 inch resonator on and it sounds NICE !! it idles like if it had a stock muffler on and when cruising its super quiet and when you get on it, its still not that loud !

Wow... good deal.. I agree, the ws2 is pretty quiet and sounds great.

I would go with a WS2 exhaust. I had the Apexi N1 exhaust on my car a year ago. It was way too loud with my DC Sports race header, no cat, into the N1. Then I got the WS2 to replace the N1. To me its just a little louder than stock, but still QUIET.
i agree a apexi ws2, or tanabe, also if you got the money RSR makes good ones and the look kinda factory...dont use a cat..cause u got a SOHC on boost and you need all the power you can get..sorry to say..instead use a 3inch resonator, or flex pipe..also try diffrent size diameter piping from the downpipe back
Definitely don't get a WS2, it would just be a restriction. For a N/A engine, sure it'd be a great exhaust to quiet it down. But you have a turbocharged car, so you should try to have a balance of sound & performance. You could also try running another muffler in place of where the stock cat or resonator are; obviously using a round style one.

yeah i just got that dnx muffler and it did quite it down like crazy but i want it to kinda sound stock you know..... and i know it is gonna be hard cause of the turbo but i have heard them be quite as hell!! sooo i dont know i need a High flow cat i guess
and the turbo manifold makes a big diff.... to
just put a 3" downpipe and exhaust with a vibrant ultra quiet resonator and it will sound like stock
note my exhaust is only 4 feet long and i have 45* bend on the end of the resonator and it dumps in front of the gas tank

umm no..your wrong..there is a turbo version to this system..if that was the case APEXI,a world reknown company a major manufacture of true parts that work and are made for this very reason. they wouldnt make and sell this product...its called a "street application setup".. Apex made 900+ HP on a skyline using the same system..and dont give me that " its a skyline" its called and R and D test..
DUDE if u aint got the money get some good piping made and a ES oval muffler from jhpusa.com there dumb cheap

i dunno if your a fan of the twin loop systems, i have a mugen twin loop on my ej6 and it keeps my car low key. another thing you can try is going to youtube and search for the exhaust that everyone is listing here. Listen to them and see if you like them.

I wasn't aware that they had a turbo version. I stand corrected. Still not quite sure I believe that a skyline made 900+whp with a 3" exhaust.
