i just got the motor in my 99 civic ex .. and the motor cranks, however, it seem like it being restricted or sumthing .. anyone have any idea of the problem.. the car original motor was the d16y8 .. i replace it with a d16y7 .. is it the ecu or is the vacoom hose conected wrong ?? im lost right now .. need help ..

 

why didn't you replace it with another y8?

It sounds like something isn't hooked up right, maybe the dizzy is in wrong?

 

cuz im broke ... i got a y7 for for like 2 bill .. ya i think it probably one of the vacoom hose ..

distributor, yeah why would you swap out the vtec? unless you blew up the y8?
