1. What is the model # of amp?
2. What is your price range?
3. Trunk, hatch?
4. Using the same box? So what is the internal volume(cu. ft.), ported or sealed?
5. What do you favor, loudness or sound quality?
6. Where do you intend to buy the subwoofer?

The amp is 900watts @ 2ohms. You probably will not use 1200watts @ 1ohm.

I assume 92 integra means hatchback(3 door).

To choose a subwoofer you need to know the exact dimensions of the box, port(length and opening), and thickness of wood. Same thing a car stereo shop would do.

There are some subs at $200 that will work, but there will not be much difference from what you have now. $250-300 there will be better ones. You might look for a used sub. Maybe even including a box.

If you don't care about warranty then there are hundreds of online stores that have relatively good prices. I look around onlinecarstereo , but have not used them. Craigslist is a good place to check.

Type R subwoofer is an good uppgrade, but if the box and port are wrong you might very well blow up that nice new sub. Good luck

BTW you need type r model swr-1242d.

The sub needs a specific enclosure. It can be ported or sealed. Ported needs to be a 1.7cu ft. box with a specific port size. Your box is wrong. Look on page 4 of this manual and find the ported needs of the 1242d sub - http://vault.alpine-usa.com/pr...D.PDF

i gotta 2ohm type r 12" sounds nice but if youre running a 900w amp the rms on the type r is only 500 so kinda a waste.

audioque hdc3! buy the D2 ohm then build yourself an enclosure to the subs specs. then hold on!

oh yea, another good option would be an FI Q D2 < has better sound quality IMO

Edit* both my 2 suggestions will **** allover a TYPE ARGGGG!
