Default squeeky steering when stopped

Hey, other then needing an alignment which I know I do, what would cause the car to squeek when turn the steering wheel and not moving, or moving very slow? Steering is not affecting, other then it pulling to the left, due to me needing an alignment.

Ball joint was my first guess. It's coming from the left, hard to hear from exactly where, but don't think it's a steering issue, as my steering is still ok. How hard is it to change out the lower ball joint yourself? What tools will I need? Looks like they are pressed in, never done one before? Let me know guys.

Depends on which ball joint your replacing. but the one connecting to the front LCA will need to be pressed out. ive heard you can hammer it out but it has never worked for me. as for the steering rack ball joint, when you buy the piece just buy the whole tie rod end. itll make life easier.

For the lower ball joints.. there is a snap ring on the top part of it.. Remove the snap ring.. Find a socket big enough that'll fit the ball joint.. I think i used a 19mm impact from snapon. Hammer it out.. should come out with a few good whacks.
The upper ball joints I've never replaced.. I'd imagine they're somewhat the same.

The uppers are not, they are part of the upper control arm. Order upper control arms and they will come with upper ball joints.

im pretty sure you can remove the uppers by themselves. ive seen people do them to use upper balljoint camber kits.

if the snap ring is on top, then it keeps the joint from falling down so take off the ring and hit it down. if te ring is on the bottom, then opposite is true.

The snap ring should be on the top of the ball joint.. towards the axle..
You need to remove the snap ring, and hammer it up towards the axle.

Do inner tie rods squeek when they are bad?

Nope. The snap ring (if it has one) is on the bottom, LCA side.

is there any movement when the wheel is on, the car jacked up side to side?
a squeaking while turning the wheel could be something in the rack..
and are you sure its not a belt squeal?

definetely not a belt squeel. I do need an alignment, hopefully get one today after I do my balljoint. Really sounds like it's coming from the rightside inner tierod, but i'm not sure. Any ideas?

ok so I adjusted the alignment, which is pretty much dead on, both sides outter tie rods changed, left lower and upper ball joint, aswel as upper left control arm. What could cause the squeaking in the steering when stopped or at very slow speeds? no play in steering wheel either, let me know guys, gonna try and do it this weekend, if I find out what it is.
