Default Cooling system overkill??

OK... heres the setup. B!8B swap(GSR Trans), I/H/E/Tune/etc... Pretty much a bolt-on NA car with a tune. When I was doing the swap, I went ahead and threw in a full size all aluminum DC radiator. With 2x 12" fans I might add. When Im datalogging cruising down the road, 40+ mph, ECTs hover around 135, and my heater is absolutely terrible(duh). After a whole day driving around town, errands, etc, I can pop the hood and hold onto the upper rad hose. Verrrrry little pressure, and only moderate heat.

Isnt this bad for the motor? The constant hot/cool from the thermostat opening and closing so often? Would a lower temp thermostat be OK? or NO thermostat?

But at the same time, it makes me wonder if this is an INTEGRA motor and an INTEGRA radiator, then why shouldnt this be OK??

Looking for some opinions. THANKS!

Operating temp for most gasoline engines is 195 degrees F. Most thermostats are set to open/close at this temp. If you remove a thermostat from an engine it will cause it to run TOO cool (this is because the coolant will always be circulating through the radiator unrestricted hense the lower temp). It sounds like maybe the thermostat is stuck open, the rad fans are always on, and/or the radiator could possibly be too large for this setup (ie overkill).

integras use full size.. i don't think its overkill as long as the thermostat is working correctly. i have seen many a civic with a b18, gsr, b20, ls vtec run perfectly fine though with the civic standard halfsize rad. like i said, as long as the thermostat is working correctly you should be fine. i run no thermostat on my b16 and no problems.
