Hehe I will save you the trouble my friend.

It is a S C A M

The way it works is that they'll send you a stupid *** email about how they need to sell it quick. They will then tell you to do it through Ebay and ship it bla bla. If you ask to pick it up, they'll make up some excuse.

The VIN (even if they give it to yoU) will be good because they get it off other REAL SELLERS.

So how does the scam work? This is what I've read and understood. You register through Ebay sales, and then pay that fee. The fee that you paid (suppose to be for the entire car right?) is actually going to be noted as "shipping charges." So since you did not pay in full, the car will never be yours. Notice how the fee is probably either low enough to be "mis-understood" as just shipping charges.

There is a bunch of these super low price scams on Craigslist. All the same return emails all the damn time.

But that's my understanding. Tell him you're serious and lmk what he says.....

well, he gave me a VIN. It is to a 1 owner 2002 S2000 registered in Lansdowne, PA with a last recorded odometer reading of 35k miles in 2005.

Just ask him where the car is. $10 says it's not local but "he can ship it to you." That'll be the red flag that it is for sure a scam (as if a car for less than 1/2 of market value wasn't already a red flag).

I really wonder if someone has $4350 and went down there and flashed the money in his face what would happen. Someone should actually go with $4000 and see what happens. Hey the most youll lose is gas and it can be a good road trip. get his address and go down with out him knowing to see it its really there.

its a scam. type the vin# into google and look at how many cities that car is being sold in. better yet, do a search on autotrader with "any distance" and see how many of that same ad pop up.

If he's scamming people, there will be people looking for him. He'll no doubt be armed. If you show up with cash like a moron, you just might get robbed or worse.
