Hey HT.. my friend has a 91 crx si with a jdm B18c converted to OBD1. I was following behind him and for some reason all i smell is GAS! His exhaust smokes when he comes to a stop and smokes alot when hitting vtec. Hes throwing a check engine light, when he brought it to a shop, they said he was throwing a code 7 (tps). He has yet to change it, but could that be the problem? the fumes are unbearable when driving behind him. any input would be greatly appreciated. i searched other posts but nothing seemed to answer the problem.

 

If it's showing a TPS code, yes that could be the problem. That's why it's showing.
