Default Texas vehicle inspection checklist concern

I have inspection in February, and I came across something that concerns me...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by http://www.hkautorepair.com/inspect.html &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">State Safety Inspection checklist:
[...]
Check operation and condition of power steering and power brakes
[...]
</TD></TR></TABLE>

My car came with power steering, but I am swapping in a rack that is non-power, of the same year (from CX I suppose). Do you guys think this will be a problem?
Surely it can't be....

Default FV-QR

I would imagine they'd only be checking that cars with power steering have it functioning properly.

Cool, cool. This is my hope as well. Make sure P/S is not squealing or popping.
The guys in my area probably wouldn't even notice other than it being 6 turns lock to lock. Thank ya for the reassurance.

(State of Texas should reword it to say 'steering' rather than 'power steering', as I'm sure manual racks die eventually too!)
