Default Clutch Switch

'97 Civic HX clutch switch seems to need adjustment.
With pedal fully depressed, starter won't run.
If I hold key in start position and slowly let clutch up the starter will activate after coming up maybe only 1/8 inch.

Is it just an adjustment? Gotta get a new switch??

Default Re: Clutch Switch (brucepick)

bump.

Somebody must have had this happen.
Anybody?

Seemed to clear up this morning.
Yesterday evening when it was raining steadily I couldn't start it until I figured out I had to press clutch ALMOST all the way down, not fully - for starter to crank. This morning, no more issues - press clutch in fully and starter would crank.

My 97 CX had the same issue and eventually it just stopped working all together.
I changed the switch and would suggest you do the same. It's a relatively cheap part and you'll have pice of mind knowing it's no gunna f--- up on you again.
