Default Y8 Intake Manifold Question. Will it work?

My friend gave me a y8 intake manifold for free claiming it was a jdm one. and after doing a couple searches on HT i discovered the one he gave me is an automatic version.. ( 2 sensors on throttle body). now my question.. will this work on my manual transmission Sohc d16z6 ?? thanks in advance

Not very well. It will ... sort of run if you're in an emergency need, but may stall and sputter. Issue is, manuals have the IACV on the manifold rather than throttle body, and a wire/pin count difference. But, it will make your vehicle move 'til you can get a M/T one.

Maybe.

if there is 2 sensors on the throttle body, then you indeed have a manual IM. if there is a sensor hook-up on the back of the manifold like your Z6 manifold, then it is absolutely a manual equipped manifold.

if the TB had 3 sensors then you would have the auto manifold.
