gsr swap. slicks or drag radials? whats the advantages??
i have a stock gsr swap in my eg and im having a lot of trouble with traction like any other honda at the strip on street tires
so i decided i need to get tires for the track
should i get 15 inch slicks so i dont have to raise my car when i race with 13 inch slicks and i already have 15 inch wheels i can put them on
or should i get drag radials so i can drive down to the track with them on and not have to set my car up down there
i also hear drag radials last longer
what do u think?
15 inch slicks
15 inch drag radials?

Slicks are overboard unless you plan on making a career out of it. The real problem with launching is the FWD setup. If you can minimize weight transfer to the rear you won't need super sticky tires.
If this is a stock GSR, you shouldn't need anything more than a set of decent drag radials. Also, if you were to run slicks, a set of axles isn't necessary if you learn to preload. I've run several passes on M&H Slicks at 315whp on stock axles with no problems. My new setup should be well over 400whp and i'm still rocking AutoZone Axles...
im eventually gonna boost on stock but for now i just have a bone stock gsr swap.
any recomendations to what drag radials i should get? im tucking up front and im on springs so id rather have something that can fit well without having to raise it even tho that shouldnt be a problem with radials

get some liftetime warrantee autozone axles if your running slicks, but there is no need to with a stock gsr. get some decent azenis or proxys on there and a stiff suspension setup in the front and rear then you should be fine
drag radials are actually harder on axles than slicks. there is a misconception about slicks beeing to sticky. slicks actually have more give and flex in the sidewall and help when launching. if you preload your car at the staging light, you wont ever break axles with either tires. i am putting 330hp to thw wheels on slicks and never broke a axle, running high 11's
