Can hydro b16 transmission gears, synchros, etc be used in a cable 16 tranmssion? i am planning on getting my jdm cable b16 tranny rebuilt and was wondering what parts need to be ordered for this rebuild to happen. Thanks!
If you have a large spline cable tranny (YS1) you can put hydro internals in it. IF you have a small spline trans, you are out of luck.

well i dont believe that there is a large spline cable b16 tranny. i have a small spline b16 tranmssison. the small spline also comes in the 90-91 ls integra transmission. I may have to get my cable b16 tranny rebuilt, where can i find parts for this?
Good luck finding parts to rebuild a JDM Y1 or J1/S1 small spline tranny. A company called Gearspeed used to stock and sell complete rebuild kits, but I tried a few years ago to order them repeatedly and they were always back ordered.
They might stock them now.

as b18c5 eh2 said: gearspeed. they are the $hit. got a nice set of their carbon steel syncros in my tranny

Actually, the 92-93 USDM GSR (and JDM Integra XSi) YS1 cable has the same 1-4 ratios as a B16 hydro trans with the exception of the 5th gear OD ratio.
