D15B swap.
Hey im considering getting a d15b vtec for my 93 si hatch. Im a little confused on a few things. I see a lot of posts about the O2 sensor wiring and getting the ecu chipped for a p08. Im just wondering what things i need to do to swap in this motor i tried searching a few different forums and those are the only 2 things im still confused about. Thanks in advance.
The D15B came stock with a 1 wire O2 sensor where almost all other Honda's came with a 4 wire O2 (exceptions being 92-95 CX and VX hatchbacks).
Likewise the P08 ECU only requires a 1 wire O2 sensor, but you can use a 4 wire instead of a 1 wire and not have issues.
That said if you are running your stock P28, then use the 4 wire O2 sensor already on your car. If you are using a JDM P08, you can use either a 1 wire or a 4 wire O2 sensor.
Before you do anything, is there something wrong with the stock D16Z6 that would necessitate this swap? If not, then why bother?

It was neglected for the 200k before i got it. The rings are shot and its burning a lot of oil. I plan on putting the d15b in and rebuilding my z6 to handle some horsepower. im not a big fan of the b series swaps.
