Heat shield problem

Default Heat shield problem

My damn heat shields are rattaling away on my ride and I want to take them off... anyone have any suggestions on the easiest way?

Take off the two screws before taking off the heat shield

my problem was getting them on..but u could just get hacksaw and solve ur problem

you mean the cat heat shield? Jack up your car, support with jackstands... crawl under, find two 10mm bolts holding the heat shield to the body of the car... remove those two, and pull it out. No sweat. I'm pretty sure you can even do it without removing the cat, as it's only two bolts, and neither of them is up in the tunnel behind the cat.

man its amazing what 15 bucks can get you at the local monroe...
those guys got out the cutting torch and cut like 20lbs of stell of the bottom of my ride!!!

just don't drive over high grass if u remove the heatsheild from the cat.
