Ethanol emission test fail. Nox through the roof!
I tried to pass my car yesterday. The CO and HC were near immeasurable levels. But the NOx was insane. 3600ppm!
The car runs ethanol fuel. But it's been very recently tuned. No
I tried to pass the car on gasoline a while back, and at that time, the car had little to no NOx and was failing CO.
Could a fuel switch be all that it takes top mess this thing up?

sounds like your tuner didn't do quite as good a job as he should have.. really high cylinder temps are what can cause high NOx, which can be caused by way too much timing advance or way to lean of a mix.
Ethanol burns hotter then regular unreformulated gas (high NOx)... from what ive heard its pretty bad for your motor for other reasons too and where I live theres about 10% of that **** in our gas!
but then again they completely got rid of any emissions on '95 and older cars here too
