Default VTEC Gasket

I searched and didn't find anything.

My wife had to take her accord in for service and they said she needed a new VTEC gasket. Never heard of it. I'm wondering where it is, what does it do, or if it even exists. Not a big deal since car is under warranty so no money coming out of our pockets. Just curious.

There are usually at least one sometimes two gaskets in a Vtec solenoid... they incorporate an O ring and a very fine mess filter that help filter out particulates that are in the oil stream in the solenoid itself

I'm taking a wild guess on this, I'm think you have around a 06 Accord I4 auto. If this right, I have no idea why.

So this is the engine head.

I have two guess, part #5 or #11. Part #8 is what MSchu is talking about, I think?

#5=about $3.10
#11= about$4.25
#8= about$11.50
