Ive been running a DIY reinforcement kit with my usdm itr rear sway bar for about 4 years now, no problems as of yet. ::Knock on wood:: It's my DD and i've done probably 10 auto x's on it. About a year after i installed it i put on a JIC rear lower tie bar, no other subframe reinforcement.

you guys respond like there was no one who had ITR rear sway bars before ASR had their kit out.
BSQ and Beaks have been making kits for years, with great success, street and track driven cars..
I had one on my old car, no failures ever.

It made me giggle as well.
I ran the BSQ kit for 2 years on my old DB8, no tearouts. I'm currently running the $20 BSQ kit on my DC with no problems. However if you have a civic, don't bother with the BSQ or BEAK's kit. Civics have a much weaker subframe so kits such as ASR's should be standard for them.

The 96-00 Civics have a weaker subframe than the 92-95, at least from what I've read.
If you're spending $400+ on shocks, $200 on springs, $100+ on an ITR bar, $100+ on bushings, replacement LCAs, swaybar endlinks, etc... spending an extra $100 for the ASR kit versus the Beaks seems like a good idea. The ASR kit also would act like a lower tie bar, so that makes the price difference less significant.

I hate to bump this post, but I picked up my ITR rear sway bar this week, and ordered a BSQ kit for my DC. According to what I've been reading, I'll be just fine with it. But before it comes in the mail and I install it, should I really consider the ASR setup?
