Default Wideband wiring issue

Ok so in November of last year I bought an AEM Wideband gauge only. Its a 30-4223 model gauge. Now I'm getting around to wiring it up to my AEM EMS 30-1040U and I can't find a pinout diagram. However I did find a PDF file in AEMpro that says its only compatible with UEGO controllers 30-2300 and 30-2301. Does this mean that its not gonna work with my EMS?

what are you wanting to do with it. i dont think there is any reason for your stock ecu to use it. if you need to datalog with it you have to setup your datalog software to use it.

i would hope so. you could run the 0-5v signal wire from the WB to the EMS where your stock o2 signal should be and do away with the stock o2

Hes asking if his AEM WB gauge is compatible with the AEM EMS.

Is the gauge that you bought a UGEO WB AFR gauge or an analog AFR gauge?

Are you running a WB O2?

I'm not 100% on the AEM gauge but my Innovate gauge doesn't get wired to the ECU/EMS. It connects directly to the output signal of the appropriate Wide band O2 sensor controller.

Okay guys sorry its taken me so long to get back on here and respond to this particular thread, here's what I need to know: I have an AEM EMS 1040U which comes with its own wideband sensor. That being said I purchased an AEM Wideband gauge 30-4223 which doesn't come with the sensor. I did this thinking I could wire the gauge into the EMS to utilize the EMS's own gauge. I had this problem a few months ago and decided to use CROME instead but have since returned to the EMS and guess what? I am still having issues with this wiring.

Seems like it'd be a good question for AEM since it's their EMS, their sensor, and their gauge.

No this will not work well there is a way, but if you do something wrong you can smoke the EMS and you dont want to do that. The Gauge you purchased was designed speciffically for the UEGO controller(the cig box style) for a display readout. This will not work on a "U" style ems however what you do want is the serial gauge.

your post is really confusing, sound like u dont really know about ems, but see if i can help u out. u are using a 1040U box, which has it own wide band controller build in, and have a sensor plug on the box by itself, so if u plug the wide band sensor in, the ecu will have a o2 reading from it. then why do u buy a gauge? what is the purpose of that? u want to have a display?

Yes I want to have a display. I don't intend on leaving a laptop connected to the EMS at all times so I got this gauge. And no I don't know a tremendous amount about the EMS itself.

then just use that sensor connect to the gauge then have the voltage output to ecu. OR u can get a serial gauge which u can have anything from the ecu output to the gauge so u are not limited to one data.
