so i got a 92 Accord for my wife and its making a weird noise. it has a popping noise coming from what sounds like the front right wheel well area. it mainly does it when the transmission shifts gears, it only pops once(its not a constant popping or clicking noise, so it doesnt make me think its the cv).also it only seems to do it at lower gears. any ideas on what it is?

 

In this pic below, #9 the radius arm could be loose.
It goes thru the front sub-frame and there is a 17mm nut on the end of it.
You will need to drop loose the shroud to get to it.

 

cool. il check that this weekend. will that hurt anything? is that a common thing that happens?
