Head trouble

My spark plug has some play when its in the head(AP1). Is this something that a machine shop can take care of? Or is the head toast?

it will depends, if it has too much play you probably need a new one.

small crossthread can be fixed relatively cheap

It def depends. If you cannot tighten the plug then you SHOULD NOT be driving. The last thing you want is a spark plug shot through your hood. The head can be fixed with a time-sert.
