My 2003 accord EX v6 is doing something weird.

The TCS light and the ! is on and i am unable to shift the car into drive.

The lights come on after depressing the break other than that it is fine.

The normal click i hear isnt happening to unlock the button so i can shift the gear.

if i have the car turned tot he first click with the key and push the button to get it into gear i hear a really loud click coming from my steering wheel

as long as i am not depressing on the break the tcs light will not come on but as soon as i press it it is on the ! is on and i am unable to shift

The car is drivable i have to use my valet key to put in the slot to bypass the lock
could it be a neutral safety switch?

Do you have brake lights? If no it's the brake switch. If yes unplug the connector at the master cylinder and try again.

 

lol its not doing it now ill have to wait when it decides to come on again
