each year there is more and more type Rs being wreck/stolen and making them more rare..

The silver lining of this thread could be this: For the current owners, you need to take the proper steps to protect your car. Put the proper investment into a quality alarm AND install, GPS tracking, and simple steps like relocating your hood latch, and a fuel cut.

Agreed. Only post pictures with your personal experience. This thread is only relevant if people see what could happen and take proper precautions to prevent it.

Yep, just posting someone else's misery isn't useful other than for gawking. Also, I honestly don't see this thread developing into an informative discussion of security measures. That kind of talk usually is best in the "My R was just Stolen" type threads. Usually that is the last we see of those owners anyways (to get info on what doesn't work).

yeah some of them do but still there is still some the still love ITRs the they buy another one and some the rebulid there shell..

heres my 97 i got it as a theft recovery









full interior was missing, 5 lug was missing, and motor


now the latest photo the rebuild

theft recovery --- LS Wiring Harness/Dash/Seats/GSR motor/b16 tranny/ITR shell

This car had been in a rear end crash, has a new rear clip. The Locks broken in the rear, Steering column was all busted -- Used LS key. Removed all 00 for 94 harness obd1.
