Default Seafoamed the GSR yest

As title states i seafoamed her yesterday.

It works wonders i would recommend it.

put 1/3 in each gas, oil, and vacuumed into intake.

It smoked like hell for a while but i drove for 15 min then let it sit and changed my oil, and plugs.

It improved throttle response a little.

So for those doubting it i highly recommend it.

So your extensive study and butt dyno are your basis for advertising a product

you can run it through your intake vacuum to burn off all the carbon build up in your manifold. did it on my buddy's car and he states he gets better throttle response and a slight difference in gas mileage

if you can feel the results and she responds faster id say it works wonders...

no need to be a dick cause i don't have dyno charts handy and specific gains....

was just stating it to those that were considering it...

I have personally seen/heard about an equal number of success and horror stories from people using this stuff.

A friend of mine has used it to treat numerous cars with it and has had good experiences, but I have read of peoples' engines having bad oil consumption and MPG issues, among other problems.

If you search for threads about this you'll find both sides of the story.

I personally wouldn't use it...if I'm really that worried about carbon build-up I'll remove my intake manifold and clean it manually.

i was told this removes carbom buildup on the valves/pistons as well, which is good but would lower your comp by a tiny amount so all in all it could make your car slower?

I've heard some horror stories about seafoam on the B18, but the one I'm more concerned with is how seafoam can eat at the engine's seals. Can anyone confirm this?

I'd like to seafoam my car, having 140k miles on it, but I'd rather not do any harm to the engine, obviously

My thinking is that if you simply put it in the vacuum hoses, it's not there long enough to really do damage to the seals. This is why it's probably recommended to change your oil if you do put it there.

My personal experience is with my B18c1 swapped Civic and my GSR.

On the Civic, when i shone a light on the piston through the spark plug opening i could immediately tell a difference, as in i could see the piston itself instead of just blackness.

On the GSR, I am experiencing a huge oil burning when i hit Vtec ( 3 qts =1000 mi of hard driving ). I think my valve adjustment skills are partially to blame but I don't know what else might be happening. I don't blame the seafoam though.
