right front speaker not working
today i noticed my front right speaker wasnt working. the guy who built my car said it was working when he sold it.
what ive done so far, was tryed swapping speakers, followed the wiring, and checked the back of the deck, without any luck. its an aftermarket alpine head unit wired to polk 6.5s.
i did a search and came upon a thread that mentioned a 9v battery trick, but im unclear how to do this.
if anyone could be of assistance i would appreciate it! thanks

To test for continuity to the speaker disconnect the speaker leads behind the HU and touch the batt. terminals, [AAA, AA, C or 9V] to the speaker leads, speaker should "pop".
You can also just switch the speaker wiring at the back of the HU, left speaker wiring to the right speaker, right speaker wiring to the left speaker, if the front right speaker still does not work the problem is the speaker or the speaker wiring, on the other hand if the left speaker now does not work it is a blown right output on the HU.
