Default I need some help with my 91 honda crx DX

I this put new spark plugs and wires in it and now even I start it up it stays at 1000RPM's but before with my old spark plugs it would stay at 700RPM's if I give it a few sec (But the spark plugs I had in it wasn't made for JAPAN cars)

I this what to ask this because I what to know if it's an big deal or not?

Yeah I gapped them but the one's that were in there before wasn't for the car anyway. It was made for US cars, and the spark plug wires were OEM. So the lasted owner didn't ever do the wire's to it.
