Holy crumpled rsx metal batman! Dude it looks like some giant crumpled that rsx like a piece of paper and then tossed it.

Only way you will be able to tell if it is a DC5-R is look on the left side where there is a sticker but from the looks of it i don't think you'll be able tell.

Kid that lives next to my friend... his parents bought him a brand new Si coupe. I was talking to the dealership he bought it from. They were teaching the kid how to drive the car before he had purchased it in random parking lots cause he couldn't drive a stick. One hell of a test drive! haha. They just said he was a snot nosed brat. He still kills it pulling out of the driveway. I just can't wait to show him up on my EP just cause he gives me dirty looks whenever we're outside washing cars (EP3, WRX, 350Z).

Brats. I hate them.

Well it depends on what you want to do and where you want to go with your project. you could put that motor in 92-95 civics, 96-00, 01 + civics i mean you have endless possibilities. what it boils down to is what you want to do.

First off tho, is the motor fine? does it run? is it broke? anything wrong with it?

oh it's plenty fast in an eg or ek. **** 12's (with an eg or ek k swap) in a 1/4 mile stock motor is plenty fast.

yea its most likely just a k20a2 with a type r valve cover, but it should say k20a on it if it is a type r motor. But its a very nice pickup. Yea you should just find a cheap clean shell to drop it in(hatch or dc2). Some work to it u can be pushing 11's easy.

I wouldn't assume someone would crash an RSX with a Type-R engine swap and not take the engine back. Plus isn't the IM different anyways? That looks like the stock k20a2 manifold.

I have a *very* hard time believing the engine or transmission went through that crash unhurt.

And how does that car have 708 original miles on it if it is a 2002? Has this POS been sitting in a junkyard for 6 years?

Also, it has obviously been modded. Look at the valve cover, headlights, etc.

just look at the block if it says K20A on it its a Type-R but if it says K20A2 its a Type-S simple as that

oh you are safe alright but your car wont be. They were designed to crumple like paper to help save the driver.

Why would they swap a K20A into a car with 700 miles?
