Default Loud sound, then something fell off. Need help identifying part

Hello everyone, I have a 1989 Honda Civic hatchback w/ auto transmission that's having some trouble. My mom took the car out for a grocery trip. After backing out of the driveway, she shifted into drive and started taking off. A few seconds later, she heard a loud noise and quickly shut off the car. She found that a small round object seemed to have fallen off the car.

I went outside to help her, and found that the car starts and seems to drive normally. I took a look around the car but couldn't figure out where the part came from. I'm including some pictures of the object in question, and hopefully someone will know what it is and why it came off. It seems to have some gray-colored grease on one side, and a yellow grease on the other. Thanks in advance!

looks like a cv bearing. there is 3 inside the axle cup. i'd say check your boots. the grey grease is indicative of cv grease.

I cant imagine it drives normal without one of the bearings. get a new axle.

I seen these a few times cause it happen to me it's definitly a cv bearing. do you have a swap in it? Mines happen cause the person who did the b18a1 swap on dmy car used the wrong intermediate shaft so when everything was tight it was pulling the axle to far out the inner cv cup, bearings were sticking out about a 1/4" and soon as i put a little power to move it would all fall apart.
