Default Exhaust with stock headers

Searched. i have a 1997 prelude, and i installed a greddy evo 2 exhaust with 2.25 piping, magnaflow high flow cat and resonator, but left stock header. Would this cause me to lose top end? With stock exhaust it felt faster, now my top end is a cow. Would headers be the answer to this? Or does this have nothing to do with my lose of top end? thanks

You shouldn't have lost power. Something has to be wrong. Exhaust leak?

Word.

I just swapped out my Hytech replica header with my old crappy DC for smog purposes...and guess what? I didn't feel a god damn bit of difference. No tuning though, of course .

lol nah it doesnt feel differnt as much as i kno its gotten slower. Before the exhaust i could beat a couple of my buddies car, now all of them leave me in top end, by trains. same cars, same people.
Also, it doesnt have a noticiable sounding leak under th car, but since i put it on it does sound weird/ differnent from other cars. when i hit it, it doesnt sound like others, it sounds deep but also with alot of air mixed with it, somewhat like a car that would be spraying. its like if too much air was coming out of the exhaust. its a weird sound, but not bad.

You probably have a leak some where, I'd start hunting it down.

really....when I spray my car the exhaust sounds exactly the same.....

You really should get your car on a dyno and stop trying to measure performance gain or loss through imagination.
