Default Q's on ek/ef sound systems.

Okay we have an ek sedan and ef sedan, ek has stock speakers and a cheap after market radio, nothing else, ef has after market radio and nicer aftermarket speakers BUT for some reason it has no bass what so ever...The ek on the other hand has a ton of bass with its cheap oem speakers...Can anyone explain this to me? Does the ek have something Im not mentioning? Neither cars have subs or anything else other than speakers THAT I KNOW OF...As far as the sound goes...the ef sounds alot better, but any song that requires any bass just sounds weird.

Thanks!

Check the ef speaker wiring, the speakers may be wired out of phase, you can check for phasing by using the HUs balance control to balance the system all the way to the left or right, if bass response is better when only the left or right side speaker(s) are on then when both are on, [left and right] then the speakers are wired out of phase, remove one speaker and switch the speaker leads, it does not matter if you rewire the left speaker or the right speaker. 94
