Default I've been Owned by the VA Troopers ...

Coming back into Virginia on I-77, got 4 tickets.
At least I had my seat belt on.

I haven't even taken a look at them yet, it was a full day of driving and I feel like taking a shower and just sitting back and having a nice long smoke!

In no significant order of importance:
1) Radar detector
2) no front plate
3) exhaust
4) speeding 79 in a 65 (could have been wreckless @ 81 in a 65).

On the bright side, lots of seat time.
I need earplugs, I think ....
They (2 troopers in the newish Impala?) gave me the detector back.
I've got some fresh ITR front floor mats and a spare cargo cover.

Oh, well .... let me tell you this, Mr. Jim-Bob Trooper thought I was one of the F & F!
I must have scared him with my Motec Exhaust and VTEC @ 5K in 5th....

You had to ask..
I was FRAMED ! LOL!

I was trying to "take it easy", and I didn't see them behind me (which they were for a while).
I just decided to GOOSE it in the right lane to get a fee lane or something, and as soon as I went over 80 and the lobes switched over to the loud ones, ... there were those blue flashing lights!

Radar detector?

Don't think so. Comunications act of 1939 says you can monitor what ever is int the air, this was later amended to exclude cell phones. Dig it up and get out of your tix.

I WISH! we could listen to any government/military bands we wanted! No radar detectors in VA is the dummest law ever. So many other states allow them and still get people for speeding in various other ways...

Rguy, who thinks VA legislators are lazy a$$es.

Wreckless
(never did remember which was the "bad" one)

D -- Court, just looked at the tickets, looks like a potential court date of 8/16
(looks like I need to ask for a continuance!)

Rob -- W-S was nice.
Short trip to pick up those interior bits from Jon.

Driving the first two hours in the pouring rain, somewhat at speed, on "still" legal AVS Intermediates ... priceless!

The worst part is I was just about to go for 3 years w/o anything on my VA license.

HAHA -- I wonder how they'd like the sound of a turbo'd R scream'n @8K with a 3" thermal!! :middlefinger:

It doesn't matter what happened, the VA traffic justice system will own you, regardless of your case. Don't forget how famous this state is for using entrapment is a favorite playing card.

He didn't even buy my excuse for the front plate, since there was a bra on the front of the car.

I used to drive that way down to school when I went to Davidson, but after that tractor trailer than ran over the car full of a family taking their daughter back to Washington & Lee a few years ago, I avoid I-81 and 77 like the plague. Cops are like flies on **** on that road. Sorry to hear of your dilemma... good luck.... but don't forget my Z will own you at VIR in October...

We'll see about VIR.
I should be able to run about a bar by then on street gas.

rearview pic of ITR wing in the rain (big pic) needs to be cropped:

Ouch...sorry to hear Ed!

I got nabbed last week on 95S in Baltimore for no front plate....$50 and the guy didnt even give it a second thought. He picked out the shirtless dude going the speed limit in an Integra over the old guy in the Caddy going 80 DIRECTLY in front of me.

I am almost positive reckless driving is 20 over in VA. So you would have had to been going 85 to get reckless.

True, ... but you're not allowed to go over 80, either.
