D16Y8 mme question, *searched extensively*
k, i know im gonna get flamed for having an auto, but i need it because my gf drives it, and yeah i gotta let her if i wanna keep my manhood, and was doing a y8 mini me on my y7, i've got the head/manny/tb/rail/inj, and have read up on swapping.
ques: what do i go about doing the auto tranny, which ecu do i use? p28 obd1 would be the best choice for manuals, but for auto i'd go for p2p?? has anyone had any experience with this? how do i go about doing that, is it just p-n-play from P2E DX??

A p2p ecu should work just fine. My car, which came stock with VTEC auto, has a P2P auto ecu. I've mounted a P2E ecu in my car just fine, so it will plug up correctly (car ran like fail, it was fun). You can probably find P2P auto ECUs pretty cheap, considering they're not really a desired item. Good luck!
so im guessing all i'd have to do is stick a knock sensor in there, and bring one wire to the ecu? and wire up the vtec solenoid/ps of course, what about the iacv, do i have to go through the "2 step" iacv 2plug (from 3plug) step for an auto d16y8 mini-me?

Actually, my D16Y8 auto uses a 3-plug IACV so you should be fine there. But, if you swap to manual, you'll have to go 2-pin IACV.
And yes, 1-wire knock sensor to the ECU.
G'luck!

auto Y8s do not have a knock sensor. P2P ecu does not even have a wire for it, so you dont have to do that either. Yes, the auto Y8s are 3 wire iacv, so no rewiring there either. PS- I have a P2P ecu i will sell for cheap.

I disagree. Heavily.
I could go snap pics of my block, my ECU, and the P0325 my vehicle is throwing currently?
