Changed 02 sensor can't get rid of code 1...
Done.
I wired the 02 sensor directly to pin c16 and my CEL is gone. Thanks for the help folks. I guess that means that my 02 wire is screwed somewhere in the harness.

Well, I hate to sound obnoxious, but I wouldn't have posted if I didn't do these things. But given the amount of ignorance on the site, I should have been more explicit.
Here's what I have done:
-Changed 02 sensor with brand new Bosch one
-Reset ECU by pulling hazard fuse
-Also disconnected battery to reset""
-loosened and tightened thermostat ground, which apparently can confuse the ecu and makes it think the engine is running lean
-Checked the wiring/plugs to the sensor--all are physically fine...

One of my buddies had this prob just like you do. He ended up running a wire from the o2 to the ecu. I assume its a single wire and not a 4 wire? Ya didnt mention that
Yeah, it's an OBD-0 setup so it's a one wire 02 sensor. I am running a stock SOHC ZC in CRX Si. The only difference between the d16a6 and the ZC is a more aggressive cam. I doubt this alone would destroy the 02 sensor in 15min...
What did your friend do exactly? I have to get this thing smogged asap. Thanks in advance.

ya i wouldnt think the zc would do that either you might have gotten a bad o2, i just threw one of those in my car also and it works fine with my 12.1 compression ..anyway
he ended up running a whole new wire from his new o2, didnt use any stock wiring, just a new wire straight to the ecu

had a similar problem in my HF. put a si ecu in my car. o2 sensor cel came on. put in a ls ecu and its gone. try another ecu brah
Like mentioned above try bypassing the harness and wiring it directly to the ecu. If that does not work, try replacing the ecu with a known good one.
Yeah, I guess I could try another one. The problem is, I lost the receipt. I might be able to show the people at kragen that I'm still getting an 02 code after replacing it. Most of the guys at the local Kragens are Honda guys, so they might understand.
I am surprised that Bosch isn't considered a "good" 02 sensor. Germans rarely make crappy things
But the way things are these days, they are probably outsourcing their work and the sensors are made in New Guinea.

may I ask you what fixed your code 1 I'm having the same problem. I have replaced the o2 sensor with an oem and still getting the code 1. I'm running a d15b2 with si intake. pm6 ecu. lightweight 8 lb. clutchmaster flywheel and stage 1 clutch. I have been racking my brain over this for a long time.

Next up is wiring. Any tips on what type to use in particular? Voltage etc?
