Default RHD Conversion in EJ1

Hello.

I have an EJ1 and I planned on doing a b18c swap in the near future. I thought it would be spiffy to do a RHD conversion at the same time of pulling out the engine.

Here comes the questions:

-What kind of RHD conversion system do I need? I've seen EG6 ones on HMO, but that is the only one I see. Does the EG6 one work on the EJ1?

-How difficult is it to convert it to RHD? Is it a fairly simple pull out the dash, firewall, rack, etc and pop in the new one? Or will it require some fabrication? I searched RHD conversion on this forum and did not find a DIY. I'll try google in a bit.

Thanks guys!
Matt

EG6 conversion should work fine, hatches and coupes are the same back to rear of the doors. I think theres a bunch of little things you will need that you probably wont think of till you need them. And if you live in California, seriously check with local law enforcement agencies/DMV before you start this project.

Honda-tech search has been done since the server switch the other day. Try Google instead.

Google Search Query:

It's WAY more work than you're making it out to be. Yes, it involves quite a bit of welding and cutting, rewiring, etc.

This is very serious work, the firewall has to be cut out, by that I mean all the spot welds drilled out and then the new firewall can be welded in but by no means is this a easy task.

Thanks for your input guys.

Yes I actually do live in California. It sucks here. =P

Welding wouldn't be too much of a problem. My brother owns a high performance shop so he has any tools I may need.

I was also searching around and some people made some good points for just everyday things [Left turn trouble, drive thru trouble, etc]

I think I'll just pass on the RHD then. Thanks again guys!

Drive thru trouble?? are you serious? go either in reverse or go to checkers! you can always just go with a passenger. I will add this from personal experience, put some crappy wheels on ur car because u will curb rash a lot more often.
