Just want others opinions on what it might be so i dont go out and buy the wrong thing that i thought it was.....anyway i just took my crx out for the first time i was driving all day long and had no problems but then i parked it at my parents for an hour and went to leave and it wouldnt start? it trys to turn over but its not getting enought juice...the battery isnt dead but when i turn the engine it sounds like its dying...all i can think of is that its the altenator? is there anyhting else it could possibly be that im not thinking of? the battery itself is only a few months old.....thanks in advance

 

is there oil in the motor ?

 

lol yea i changed it today after i took it out and yea its still there...

 

well ya never know lol. i would test the alt and all grounds

 

for sure some people out there dont check there fluid levels....and ya ill test the altenator and all check the grounds

 

I would test the battery. The alternator could be the root of the problem if it isnt charging the battery. However just because the battery is providing voltage there may not be enough amps the start the car. If the car has a bad alternator it will still start if the battery is good.

 

FYI you can slip the alternator out through the wheel well with the care jacked up and the tire off. Easiest way to change the alternator if thats what it comes down to.

 

try replacng the fuel relay, thats what was wrong with mine, it would turn but not start, then if i waited an hour or 2 and it would start up just fine, now that i replaced that it starts up everytime no problems
