i just bought a very good condition VIS cf hood 92-95 civic hatch oem style for 280 dollars. here is the details (picture with me) it only has a little chip on the clear coat on the side(must be from ordering it online and some delivery guy chipped it by accident), but it's not noticable, other than that the hood was very shiny and no scratches. the dude had it on his civic garaged for 3 months(COVERED IN DUST) and has never driven the car since and he decided to sell the car and part out on the hood.

 

yeah its a good deal. But does it matter since you have already bought it. You should have made this thread before buying it.

i think i paid 300 for my vis hood.

 

i got mine for 90 bucks and sold it for 300

my friend said after 2 years, the carbon fiber hood "wears" out, anyone know what he means? so far i just think he means the clear coating will fade or something.

 

my cf hood hasnt faded yet after 3 years of being in the nice vegas heat.

Take care of it and it wont.

 

Yeah you should wash it, clay bar, then do something like a 3 step meguiars wax. Just keep it polished up and it should be fine.

 

ive had my vis for 7 years and still look brand new
