Hello and Thanks for advance for advice or recommendations made!
In a nut shell:
I have a 01 Integra Type R(K powered) and didn't have the current issue at hand until replacing/adding axles, wheel bearing, BC racing spec dampers, Spoon calipers and Carbotech xp10s.
Multiple times the car has been checked over and every suspension components nut/bolt has been tightened with air. Axles, calipers, pads all brand new etc.
The sounds I'm hearing is only happening when at very low speed, when pulling forward and seems to more evident when reversing. Best way I can describe it, is it sounds as if the brake pads are clanking/rattling around? I did, however, preform a test by rolling very slow and "brake boosting" if you will. By holding the brake lightly with some throttle, intentions of seating the pads. Unfortunately, the sound continued.
Although, at high speeds the sound and feel of the brakes is just fine, I would rather correct the "problem" before heading on track with the car.
Cliff notes: Any of you have a clanking noise at low speed after race pad and Spoon caliper install?
Rhett

Rhett, I told you its just the pads in the the calipers. They are perfectly fine, mine do it, and I have had 0 problems out on the track in the 7 track days and the 6k mile round trip to VIR.
There is no uneven wear on mine. The pads do have the tabs on them, unlike that one batch of Colbalts.

I have the same problem: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2364540
More annoying than anything. The klapperz don't have any clips to hold the pad in place. My Cobalt pads are fine, it's only the OEM pad that clicks. In fact, it's SO effin' annoying that I haven't even driven my car in a month or more

Mine tend to quiet down after the pistons have been compressed enough times, as in being used. Then when it sits, and I drive it again it will do it again. I do know that the pads have some slight movement in there, side to side b/c sometimes when I turn you can hear the pad slightly rub against the rotor.

yep, mine do the same. It's completely normal. It's mostly when starting or coming to an actual stop.

I never noticed yours doing that at all nolan
seems like something I would worry about until you (nolan) call me a whining puzzy or something
EDIT: now that nolan has spoken on the issue, it will probably magically fix itself and never click again

im gonna put some playing cards in those bish's, ill let you all know how that turns out. odds are, they'll catch fire and create an immense, unstoppable grease fire, resulting in a total loss of my caR

Use Baking soda for grease fires.

Rhett, just quit being a vag.... Don't you the stupid card thing, just ignore the clicking sounds of the pads. Bring the car over to the house like I said a while ago, if you are that concerned about it, and I will take a look at it.
My stock rear pads w/powerslot rotors make this same clicking sound when applying the brakes.

yep, pad shifting. My experience w/ spoon calipers is they allow for excessive pad movement due to the lack of retainers. i bet the "shift" will differ from pad to pad/brand to brand due to manufacturing tolerances.

iirc on spoon calipers you can bend the retaining clips a bit to prevent the shifting so much. did you grind off the nubs on the backside of the pads as well? some oem replacements have those things sticking out and they won't fit right in the spoon calipers without grinding them off.
